Take Action
On October 28, 2025, Ridglan Farms agreed to shut down it’s breeding and selling operation in order to avoid criminal charges!! This is a major milestone in our fight for justice for the dogs trapped at Ridglan Farms, and we are so grateful to everyone who made it happen - but our fight is far from over. As part of the agreement they made with the prosecutor, Ridglan will be allowed to sell off remaining dogs until July 1, 2026. We aren’t giving up on those dogs, though, and we need your help to try to save them!
On March 15, 2026, a large group of animal rescuers led by Wayne Hsiung (and not affiliated with Dane4Dogs) entered Ridglan Farms and rescued 30 beagles in need of veterinary care. A large number of rescuers were arrested and law enforcement took 8 dogs back to Ridglan Farms - but 22 dogs made it to safety. Those dogs are being examined by veterinarians and almost all of them have severe paw issues as well as other concerning medical issues.
Take action below and let’s get the remaining dogs to safety!
-
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP, pronounced DAT-CAP) is responsible for inspecting Ridglan Farms, and they continue to license them despite overwhelming evidence of animal cruelty and lack of veterinary care that has been documented by their own inspectors and the Veterinary Examining Board. Call DATCP at 608-224-5015 and tell them to revoke Ridglan Farms’ license to sell dogs immediately, and to get every dog at Ridglan Farms an exam by a licensed veterinarian that is not affiliated with Ridglan Farms. The dogs most in need of urgent care MUST be removed and Ridglan’s license revoked.
-
8 of the rescued dogs were dragged out of rescue vans by police and sent back to Ridglan Farms for a life of suffering. Even if the dogs were “property” in a “theft”, they should not have been sent back to Ridglan as police are required to preserve “evidence of a crime.” Contact the Dane County DA and Sheriff - and post on social media - that the #Ridglan8 must be returned to the rescuers or an appropriate humane society.

danecoda@da.wi.govThe Dane County Sheriff is claiming Ridglan Farms is exempt from animal cruelty laws. This is absolutely not true and our attorneys have informed him of this.
