Real Estate Risks of Research Puppy Mills

Ridglan Farms is one of the largest research puppy mills in the country and they sell thousands of puppies each year for experimentation.  An analysis of MLS Data shows that single family homes near Ridglan Farms (less than 1 mile away) take significantly longer to sell than homes further away.  According to realtor Melody Loy, dog/puppy research facilities “would definitely be a turn off to most of my clients for purchasing a property” and “they would simply move on to another area.”  Proactively banning these facilities is the best way to protect property values in your community.
